I woke up this morning a bit later than normal, and for a few seconds, I just lay in bed, wondering why the light from under my blinds looked reddish.
And then I got up and wandered out into the kitchen, where my immediate thought was "bushfire! shit shit."
But then I noticed that my car was covered in dust. And so were my shoes. And the patio. And the PLANTS (seriously, you could make dust prints on the leaves).
My next action was to have a look online, to see exactly how widespread this red haze actually is, and check it out!
Uhh wow. I'm incredibly tempted to drive a bit further in and take a few photos myself, and if I can get all my essays done, I definitely will.
In the meantime though, I'm enjoying staring out my window, watching a sky that looks like it's been blanketed by blood.
