Exhibit A: The Cricket Cake. It says "Congratulations on your half century DAD". I wanted it to say "50 not out" but everyone frowned on the idea. lame. aaannnnddd.....

Twas a good night. We had Appam - or "hoppers" for dinner. I meant to take shots of the ladies making them, but was too busy running around after various little cousins. Case in point...

But don't let her cuteness disarm you. The little pixie spent all night "liberating" the 50 helium balloons that we had floating around the roof, by sweetly asking various unsuspecting uncles to untie them so she could "play" and then running outside to release them into the night. Rinse and Repeat. By the time we figured out what was going on (hey, that smile is pretty distracting) we only had a handful left.
